Seaside rings in the holiday season each year with a Parade
of Lights, tree lighting, caroling and visits from Santa.
Parade line up starts at 6 p.m. and will travel along
Holladay and Broadway. There will be prizes awarded to
floats with the best display of lights. Following the parade
will be a community tree-lighting ceremony with caroling,
hot cider and cocoa.

and Lum’s Auto Center, the annual Turkey Trot race will
take place Thanksgiving morning for friends and families to
enjoy the fall coastal weather and exercise. There will be

last. Entry fee is $10 per participant. Race begins at 9 a.m.

annual event benefiting area food banks. Kickstands up at
11 a.m. with planned stops at Buoy 9 in Hammond, Jeffers
Gardens Inn in Astoria; ending at the Astoria Moose
Lodge for Pastor Bob’s chili, 50/50 and other games.
Tickets are $15 for run/chili, and $5 for chili only.

Christmas trees during Seaside Providence Foundation’s
free annual Festival of Trees open house. Have photos
taken with Santa and see beautiful trees lining a candy
cane lane. In the evening, guests are invited to attend the
annual gala dinner and auction. Tickets for the gala are
$100 per guest or $1,000 per table of 10.
