HULL GALLERY
172 N. HEMLOCK STREET | CANNON BEACH
WWW.HULLGALLERY.COM
Jeffrey Hull started painting in his teens but focused on watercolor 45 years ago and never
looked back. His command of painting and love for the NW coast puts the viewer of his work
right on the beach. Since 1987 Jeff and Carol Hull have been offering watercolors and oils of
the beautiful coast to collectors and visitors alike. Looking back, “we were just kids” Hull says
about starting their gallery in Sandpiper Square. Originally in only 350 square feet of gallery
space, they have grown as the paintings grew larger and quality reproductions became
available into what is now a space designed to showcase Jeff’s work. If you haven’t been to
the gallery or haven’t been lately be sure to stop by over the weekend and enjoy the Hull’s
hospitality and see fresh work by this master watercolorist. Jeff and crew will be in the gallery
all weekend connecting with old friends and making new ones.
For Stormy Weather Arts Festival Weekend they will offer new paintings and prints
including “Snow Day- Cannon Beach” which is available as a giclèe print on canvas. Available
in two sizes, please visit their website for more information.
SNOW DAY - CANNON BEACH
Fresh snow is generally welcomed for the beauty and calm it brings. We get a
dusting a couple of times each winter on the Oregon Coast, but waking up to a
blanket of snow is a real treat. As a child growing up in Portland I enjoyed many snow
days. As a Cannon Beach resident I can count our snow events on one hand. When
snow falls however, everyone’s plans are put on hold as we enjoy the wondear and
solitude of the moment. I’ve been planning this painting for decades and this past
winter decided it was finally time to put paint to canvas. I chose this location with the
beautifully sculpted tree and coastline that includes Haystack Rock because I always
navigate there on snowy mornings, knowing inspiration is assured.
