For EO Media Group
he final Astoria Sunday
Market of 2017 takes
place Oct. 8, wrap-
ping up another season of peo-
ple under canopies serving art,
crafts, food, flowers, music,
even massages.
I spent a few summer hours
sketching vendors at work.
Many have been offering their
talents for years, and there are
always a handful of newcom-
ers. A walk through the Mar-
ket is a great way to spend a
Sunday.
Thomas’ work can be seen
at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria.

The Astoria Sunday Market is so spread out
you might need a massage after shopping. This
woman’s therapeutic hands can fix you up.
Thomas traded a
watercolor with this
“cedar man” for a
Victorian-style
birdhouse.

playing and
singing great
blues to each
other, and for
each other.
