Students from Tongue Point Job Corps Center helped paint the interior of the Astoria Library. Pictured, from left, Jimmy
Pearson, library director; Seth Kraai; Tandy Sturgeon, TPJCC instructor; Miranda Powell; Sierra Persicke; Diego Cruz;
and Daziel Jones. “We are celebrating 50 years of service to the community on Sunday, and their work is greatly ap-
preciated,” Pearson said. “I was very impressed with their attention to detail, motivation and knowledge of their craft. A
great group, and I know they will do well in the future.”
