MEGAN POSTLEWAIT
Sydney Ordway is the daughter of Kathryn Neff and Gregory Ordway. She is a junior at Seaside High School, where
she is a cheerleader and varsity letterman on the SHS cheer team. Sydney, along with her team, traveled to three
cheer competitions this year for the first time in Seaside history. Her team brought home a third-place trophy.
Sydney has a passion for young people. Her cheer team holds a children's cheer camp, where she has the
opportunity to teach children about cheerleading. She works at the Seaside Pig ‘N Pancake as a hostess alongside
her amazing co-workers, bosses and her mother. Sydney is involved in Talent Search through Clatsop Community
College, and plans to attend there for two years before getting a transfer degree to Western Oregon University.
Megan Postlewait, daughter of Marni and Walt Postlewait, is a junior at Astoria High School. She has played soccer for
two years at Astoria High School and just completed her third year of swimming for the AHS swim team. Megan has
been a Girl Scout for 12 years and has earned her Girl Scout Bronze and Silver awards and is working on her Girl Scout
Gold award. Megan is the president of Mu Alpha Theta math honors society and the president and founder of Euclid’s
Apprentices peer math tutoring program. She is also a member of National Honors Society. In addition, Megan won
first place in the Algebra 2 division at the regional math competition her freshman year, and she won fourth place in
the precalculus division her sophomore year and is hoping to place again this year in the calculus division. She has
been an active member of 4-H for six years and loves her job at Frite and Scoop. After high school, Megan plans on
attending Colorado School of Mines to pursue a career in computer science and computer engineering.
