A new event at the Astoria Scandinavian
Midsummer Festival this year is the Aeble-
skiver Eating Contest. It will be held 2 p.m.
Saturday in the Exhibit Hall, and again 3:30
p.m. Sunday in the arena stage area.
Rules are simple: Participants must be at
least 18, sign a waiver and enjoy aebleskiv-
ers. Each participant will have two min-
utes to consume as many aebleskiv-
ers as possible. No hands are
allowed. Prizes will be
awarded to the two win-
ners at each session.
