Rally for Truth set for Saturday
Indivisible North Coast Oregon, along with Indivisible
NOW in Washington, is holding a Rally for Truth from 11
a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday outside the Astoria Post Office
at Eighth and Commercial streets. The rally’s purpose is to
encourage citizen involvement and demand truth and trans-
parency in government.
The event coincides with the national March for Truth
(www.marchfortruth.info), and is being held rain or shine.
Those attending are encouraged to bring signs. Pocket Consti-
tutions, voter registration forms and Indivisible North Coast
Oregon information cards will be handed out at the event.
Byes of Warrenton inducted into
Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi
PORTLAND — Mary Byes of Warrenton was recently ini-
tiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, an all-dis-
cipline collegiate honor society, at Portland State University.
Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination
and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors
and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.

Amateur radio club holds event
HAMMOND — The Mouth of the Columbia Amateur
Radio Club holds is annual radio operations event from noon
to 7 p.m. June 10 at Fort Stevens State Park in Parking Lot C.
Emergency preparation people will be on-site for the day, as
will ham radio operators, with their radios set up. Handouts
for ham radio and emergency preparation will be available.
