11 new targets
will be used in the upcom-
ing shoot this weekend at
the archery range south of
Astoria off Christians Road.
Saddle Mountain Archers
has been in existence since
1992. Membership var-

and costs $30 for individu-
als and $50 for families. The
group keeps costs low to
encourage archers to prac-
tice and increase their hunt-
ing skills.
The range is open year
round. It has a practice range
with targets out to 60 yards
and a trail range with 40 tar-
gets ranging from 20 to 50
yards. The club also spon-
sors two 4H archery clubs
of 12 archers each.
For more informa-
tion, call Jim Bergeron at

Archers recently received
$5,000 from the Clatsop
County chapter of the Ore-

purchase 3D archery tar-

archery group has been
helping the hunters group
by having three members on
its board. They also assist
with the annual banquet and
fundraiser.
This year, Saddle Moun-
tain Archers added over
$1,000 to pay for 11 high-
