Imprint Gallery
Imprint Gallery is the newest addition to the cluster of fi ne-art galleries that
makes Cannon Beach one of the top 100 Small Art Towns in America.
The gallery is set over two fl oors; the ground fl oor represents a diverse range
of medias, while the second fl oor is dedicated to original printmaking, with a
gallery and adjacent studio.
The nature of the work shown in Imprint Gallery is indicative of the owners’,
Mike and Jane Brumfi eld’s eclectic and somewhat eccentric taste, and tends
to have an element of narrative.
Jane Brumfi eld has had a thirty-year career in the visual arts, working in
museum galleries in the UK, and latterly as a gallery owner in Hastings,
England, and Boise, Idaho. Mike Brumfi eld comes from a very diff erent
background, recently retiring from a 40-year career in the oil fi eld. His
knowledge in art is informed through collecting and co-owning three
galleries with Jane.
For Spring Unveiling, the gallery will be introducing the work of Maggie
Taylor, Aggie Zed and Julie Byrne, in the lower gallery; and Angie Purviance,
Liza Jones, Jani Hoberg, and
Michael Barnes in the 2nd-fl oor
