who they are. A band that combines classical skill with the ancient Celtic folk
tradition of gifted storytelling…then takes their American rock and roll roots and

The Brownsmead Flats have been performing throughout the Northwest
for over 25 years. Their acoustic music may best be described as “Crabgrass,”
which they liken to a folk/bluegrass style with an emphasis on vocal
harmonies. A variety of instruments are played by the quintet, including
hammered dulcimer, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, guitar, harmonica and bass.
