Eugene, Mike (Sheryl) of Astoria, and
Kathy Baldwin (Mike) of Warrenton.
Her grandchildren and great-grand-
children were very special to her. She
was preceded in death by her husband.
The family will have a private
graveside service.

water into the r iver, accord-

Free park days in Washington state
The Daily Astorian
Visitors will be able to enter state parks in Wash-
ington state without daytime passes twice this April.
Free daytime use of the park will be allowed
April 15 and April 22 — Earth Day.
The passes, required for vehicle access, cost
$30 for annual admission and $10 daily. Parks are
open for free daytime use six more times after
April this year. Passes will still be required for
those days on state Department of Fish and Wild-
life and Department of Natural Resources lands.
Washington has more than 100 state parks
that cover over 120,000 acres.

Ardell was born Oct. 9, 1927,
to Frank and Lucille Roe in Aber-
deen, Washington. She grew up on
a small farm during the Depression.
