The third-annual Clatsop
County Career and Job Fair,
which brings together employ-
ers and high schoolers Feb. 22,
is expanding to include adults.
Organizer Kevin Leahy
said he expects 75 employ-
ers and 800 attendees at the
free event, which runs from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clat-
sop County Fairgrounds. The
focus of the fair will be 60 per-
cent on careers and 40 percent
on jobs.
Astoria, Jewell, Knappa, Sea-
side and Warrenton high schools
will send juniors and seniors in
the morning. At 2 p.m., the doors
reopen for adults seeking more
information about local job and
career opportunities.
The event will focus on
fi lling summer positions and
sharing career options in the
county for college-bound stu-
