The children’s Winter Reading Program “Read for
A Sheep” offers kids to learn about giving by read-
ing a number of hours that translate to purchasing a
sheep for a family in another country through Heifer
International. Children can sign up for the program
during regular library hours.

Treasures, a boutique gift fair that includes unique
handcrafted needlework, kitchen delights, plants,

be gifts for children and adults, one-of-a-kind gifts,
children’s books and specialty foods. Sales from the
boutique will benefit education support for women.

District and Lum’s Auto Center, the annual Turkey
Trot race will take place Thanksgiving morning for
friends and families to enjoy the fall coastal weather
and exercise. There will be water and snacks pro-
vided, prizes for first place male and female racers
and t-shirts (priced separately), while supplies last.
Entry fee is $10 per participant. Race begins at 9
a.m.

Seaside rings in the holiday season each year with a
Parade of Lights, tree lighting, caroling and visits
from Santa. Parade line up starts at 6 p.m. and will
travel along Holladay and Broadway. There will be
prizes awarded to floats with the best display of
lights. Following the parade will be a community
tree lighting ceremony with caroling, hot cider and
cocoa in front of Finns Fish House.

The Seaside Holiday Artisan Gift Fair celebrates 43
years participating in the annual yuletide activities

dation’s free annual Festival of Trees open house.

take requests for presents at this annual event. As-
sisted by his trusty Papa Elf, Santa will help make
this event second to none in preparing for a festive
