The Assistance League of the Columbia Pacific (ALCP)
received a grant for $4,000 from the U.S. BanCorp
Foundation. Pictured, Kevin LaCoste, U.S. Bank region-
al president and Karyn Grass, ALCP vice president of
resource development. The grant will help in ALCP’s
mission to improve lives of children in need in Clatsop
County through its four programs, Operation School
Bell, the Duffle Bag Program, Cinderalla’s Closet and
the Athletic Scholarship Program. For information, go

The North Coast Symphonic Band received a $2,500 grant from the Fred W. Fields Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation
to help with general operating expenses for the 2016-17 season. The band, formed in 1979, is presenting its 37th concert season,
and several founding members still perform with the group. Volunteer musicians come from the broader community and range
