MATT VERLEY

Matt Verley graduated
from Dallas High school in
1995. He spent the next 9
years in the US Navy as a
nuclear electronics
technician on submarines
and aircraft carriers, and 3
years as an instructor at the
nuclear prototype and
testing reactor in upstate
New York. After serving in
the Navy, Matt moved back
to northwest Oregon and
started construction/
fabrication and aerial
surveying businesses, and
began volunteering on the
Hamlet Fire department.
After 12 years as a volunteer
firefighter and 5 years as
assistant Chief, Matt
replaced the retiring chief
Bill Boone in 2016.

3370 - Type 6 Wildland fire truck
3360 - Air unit with a 4,500 psi compressor for SCBA air bottles

3332 - Water tender with 2,200 gallons of water
