Announces 2017 Medicare
Plans & Service Areas
As of December 31, 2016,
FamilyCare Health will reduce the
number of FamilyCare Health
Medicare Advantage plans offered
in the Portland tri-county area and
in Clatsop County. This applies
only
to
several
specific
FamilyCare
Health
Medicare
plans. If you are currently enrolled
in the FamilyCare Choice (PPO),
FamilyCare Choice RX (PPO),
FamilyCare Select (HMO), or
FamilyCare Select RX (HMO), you
will need to make some decisions
about how you want to get your
Medicare coverage for 2017.
FamilyCare Health is sending letters
to impacted members to let them
know about the change and their
options to get health coverage in
2017. Impacted members have
from October 15, 2016 to February
28, 2017 to join a new Medicare
Advantage plan. Those who do
not take action before December
31, 2016 will be covered by
Original Medicare starting on
January 1, 2017.
