he Fabulous Farelanes will be
rocking the crowd at this year’s
Rod Run to the End of World,
performing a selection of 1950s and
1960s music, as well as some “funky
Motown and surf renditions.”
The Farelanes first entertained a
local Peninsula crowd at a North-
west Garlic Festival, being hired by
the Ocean Park Area Chamber of
Commerce. “They were so enjoy-
able, they were hired two or three
more times for other events in Ocean
Park,” Beach Barons board member
Phyllis Knight said. “They have also
entertained at the Rod Run in years
past and are joining us again this
year.”
To enjoy them in person, come to
the Rod Run on Saturday, Sept. 10,
between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
“Join us on the Beach Barons field
for an enjoyable show and view the
fabulous cars that will be part of the
Rod Run to the End of the World,”
Knight said.
