KRISTEN TRAVERS
VICTORIA HOLCOM
Kristen Travers, daughter of Daniel and Caroline Travers, is a junior at Astoria High School. She plays
soccer for Astoria High School’s girl’s soccer team. Kristen has been involved in Girl Scouts since she was in
kindergarten, and has earned the Girl Scout Bronze and Silver awards. She is also a member of Key Club, Mu
Alpha Theta, National Honor Society and the vice president of Spanish Club. In addition, she has volunteered
at Columbia Memorial Hospital and at the Astoria Sunday Market. Kristen is learning to golf and hopes to be
on the Astoria High School golf team this spring. She enjoys working at Frite & Scoop and after high school
she plans on attending Pacific University to pursue a career in physical therapy.
Victoria Holcom, daughter of Floyd and Sheryl Holcom, is a junior at Astoria High School. She is a member
of Key Club, Spanish Club, Chinese Club, Business Leaders of Tomorrow and the Waldorf German Exchange
Program. She is a varsity letterman in soccer and track and field. She plays both left and right defense for soccer,
and has participated in both the 100m and 300m hurdles, as well as triple jump in track and field. She studied
12 years of dance at Maddox Dance Studio, and has participated in leadership organizations, such as the Ford
Institute Leadership Program and the National Youth Leadership Forum for National Security. She works part-
time at Coffee Girl, alongside her wonderful co-workers and loving bosses, Betsy Wentworth and David
Levinson. Her favorite class is Japanese, and she plans on attending George Mason University to study
economics and international relations and affairs, while joining the school’s Army ROTC program.
