Studio tours showcase artists in intimate settings

or months now, local artists have been drawing, sculpting and paint-
ing their way toward showing at the Astoria Studio Tours.
The free annual event — from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday
and Sunday — is becoming a staple in Astoria. A tour map is available at
www.astoriavisualarts.org.
Noel Thomas, an Astoria artist, is one of the artists opening up a studio. Visit
him upstairs at 249 14th St., next to Gimre’s Shoes.
