    In 1996, Denele began teaching dance to three students in
a small garage Seaside. h e popularity of her classes grew
rapidly and Encore Dance Studio was established. In 2009,
Denele opened a second studio in Warrenton. Encore Dance
Studio of ers 70 classes per week in two locations and home
to an Performing Arts Preschool, an innovative learning
experience that also prepares children academically and
socially for entering school. Encore’s diverse and talented
instructors make for an outstanding experience for children
and adults of all ages. h is fall we embark on
our 20th Anniversary Celebration season!

Denele began her dancing career at the
tiny age of 2½. She grew up training with

Portland’s best, Lynn Johnson-Wiltshire,
Sally Mack, Vicki Mills, and Debbie Pierce.
She was professionally educated and trained
in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Hawaiian, Gymnastics, and
Ballroom Dancing. Denele continues to participate in dance
seminars and conventions bringing fresh perspectives to
dance education.

From the age of 8, Denele began competitive ballroom
dancing and competed all over the Northwest and Canada.
Her ballet training and desire to be on stage, landed her
a role with Ballet West for their performances of the
Nutcracker at the Keller Auditorium.

Enjoying her time as Head Coach of the award winning
Seaside Sapphire’s dance team (2012-13); Denele founded
the cheerleading program at Seaside High School in 2009
and volunteered as the coach until 2013. Denele also
produced the Miss Clatsop County Program and was the
Contestant Choreographer for the Miss Oregon programs
from 1996 to 2007.
