(Seaside H ospital board ), C latsop Soil & W ater
C onservation D istrict, H eadStart Policy C ouncil,
and I was th e coord inator for th e N ecanicum
W atersh ed C ouncil for 6 years. In add ition, I
worked on C ongressm an A uC oin’s C latsop C ounty
cam paigns for several term s as well as th e cam paigns
for our local D em ocrats. T h en in 1986 wh en a seat
cam e up on th e C latsop C ounty C om m ission I ran
for and won it.

years as a L egislative A ssistant to seven
d ifferent legislators. In A ugust of 2004 I
was appointed to fill out th e unexpired
term of Rep. E laine H opson. I won th e
seat in th e N ovem ber 2004 election and
h ave served for six term s representing
H ouse D istrict 32 since 2004.
