The Columbia River Maritime Museum has an opening for a Controller. The
Museum is offering a competitive salary, rewarding work environment,

The Controller will be responsible for all areas of Finance and Accounting.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, development and updating as
needed of all finance systems, procedures and controls with a focus on
accuracy, efficiency and timeliness. Main duties include preparing journal
entries and accruals; preparing internal and external financial reports;
preparing revenue & expense reports; monitoring cash-flow; reconciling bank
& credit card transactions, and cash receipts; processing accounts payable
and arranging cash disbursements; managing accounts receivable;
coordinating annual 990 and preparing other tax filings; annual audit
preparation; processing payroll with MAS90 interface; preparing quarterly &
annual payroll tax filings; serve as primary human resources contact; and
administer benefit programs.
Candidate must have related B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work
experience. Strong background and experience in finance and accounting is
required, as well as experience with accounting software and extremely
high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Must be able to work
collaboratively and effectively while handling multiple projects on various
timelines, have excellent customer service skills and dedication to quality
and success, be detail-oriented and able to work well independently.

Building Official
The City of Cannon Beach is seeking qualified applicants for the
position of Building Official. The position is under the direction of the
City Planner and is a regular benefited position with a yearly salary of
$42,000-$48,000 working 3 days per week.
Requirements: Possession of a State of Oregon Building Officialʼs
Certification or ability to acquire certification within 12 months of hire
date, Residential Plan Review Certification, “A” Level Commercial Plan
Review Certification, “A” Level Mechanical and
Structural Inspection, and Manufactured Home Certifications are
required for this position. Residential Plumbing Certification and

Employer Note: A specified number of wreaths-depending on size, will need
to be completed by the end of the first day, after the three day training
period. No resume required. The employer will assist in
helping the employee locate housing which is paid by the employee.
Job Duties: Stand for 8 hours a day using hand dexterity to make Christmas
wreaths. Take pre-cut fir boughs and place them on a wire ring and
continue this process until the wreath is completely satisfactory.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. No overtime
is scheduled. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at
least three-fourths of the workdays in each 6-week period of the total
employment period.
Wage: The guaranteed wages of $11.88 per hour is based on piece work,
paid from $.75 to $1.55 per wreath. The employer will use a single
workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers are
paid every two (2) weeks.The company will make all deductions from the
worker's paycheck required by law. No other deductions are expected. The
employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and
equipment required to perform the job. If the prevailing wage is increased by
the U.S. DOL during the course of the season, the employee's wage will
increase accordingly.
If relocation is required by a worker who is hired, who does not reside in the
area of employment, whether in the U.S. or abroad, travel expenses and
subsistence will be paid to each worker by the company based on what is
specified under 655.173 transportation (including meals, at least $12.09 a
day, not to exceed $51.00 a day and, to the extent necessary, lodging, not
to exceed $100.00 a night, receipts required), from their current abode to
the place of employment, Astoria, OR, if the worker completes 50% of the
employment period covered by the job order, which is consistent with
20CFR655.20(j)(1)(i). Payment of said expenses and subsistence will be
paid within 3 days after the completion of the 50% of the contract period by
check, paid to the worker.
Return transportation will be provided or paid for by the employer and daily
subsistence from the place of employment to the place from which the
worker, disregarding intervening employment, departed to
work for the employer, if the worker completes the certified period of
employment or is dismissed from employment for any reason by the employer
before the end of the period, consistent with 20CFR655.20(j)(1)(ii).
The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa,
visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those
mandated by the government (Excluding Passport Fees), incurred by the
worker.
