Clatsop County Animal Shel-
ter — Animal care volunteers age
16 and older needed for one 3-hour

Clatsop Community Action
Regional Food Bank — Volun-
teers needed to help hand out
fruits and vegetables at the weekly
produce pantries for two hours on
Thursdays, from April to October,
in Seaside and Warrenton. Ware-
house attendants are needed for
food packing or processing, picking
orders for agencies, light janitorial
and housekeeping, or lawn and
grounds maintenance. Three to
four-hour shifts are available Mon-
day through Friday. To volunteer,

Clatsop Community College
Outreach Literacy — Needs
volunteer literacy tutors to work
with adults, native and non-native

The Rev. Ben Innes has
been named as the new
administrator of the St. Mary,
Star of the Sea parish. Previ-
ously, he was the temporary
administrator.
Born in Beloit, Wiscon-
sin, Innes was ordained in
the Franciscan community
in the St. Barbara Province
in Oakland, California, in
1984. He previously worked
as a director of a retreat cen-
ter in Oceanside, California,
and came to the Archdiocese
of Portland in 2006 to work
at St. Mary Parish (Shaw).
He also served from 2009 to
2014 as pastor at Ascension
Catholic Church in Portland.
Vacation Bible School
