Every January Encore Dance Studio hosts a free class to collect donations for the Clatsop County Food Bank.
This year’s event, “Cartwheels for Canned Food,” held Jan. 30, run by Tia Van Slyke and Jane Crater of Encore at
the Gearhart location, was one of the most successful. Thirty-five kids attended the hour-long class, and not only
learned new things, but also helped with the problem of hunger in the community.
