The photography commenced along the
Astoria waterfront an hour before the wedding.
Jenkison and an assistant had scoped out various
locations, and they began taking pictures at the
Sixth Street viewing platform, where Michelle
had decided Matthew would first meet her in her
wedding gown. After the wedding there were a
few formal photographs, and the rest of the
evening was devoted to candid photography, with
a few minutes at sunset to take the couple outside
to take advantage of the light.
After the cake was cut and the reception was
winding down, the couple took leave of their
guests. “It was so nice,” Michelle says, “to be able
to walk from the reception to our room at the
Cannery Pier Hotel.
How had their day been? “I wouldn’t change
a thing,” says the bride.
