Fish selected for Student of the Month honor
WARRENTON — The
Warrenton Sunrise Rota-
ry Club has selected Ash-
ley Fish, a Warrenton High
School senior, as the second
recipient for its Student of the
Month award. .
The club developed the
program to recognize accom-
plished WHS students who
clearly make a difference
in their school and/or in the
community. The school ad-
ministration chooses each re-
cipient.
Fish maintains a high
GPA, is an active participant
in the National Honor Society
and student government, and
takes several evening classes
at the local community col-
math and science after gradu-
ation.
High school students who
are selected are recognized at
the Rotary Club’s meeting at
Doogers Seafood & Grill in
Warrenton. Each student re-
ceives a printed award along
ZLWK VRPH JLIW FHUWL¿FDWHV
from area businesses, in-
cluding Warrenton Fultano’s
Pizza, GB Jewelers, Arnie’s
Café and The Coffee Addic-
tion. Lektro also contributes
by treating the recipient and a
school staff representative to
breakfast.

tition. Taylor Barnes was

Student boy of the North-

gon State Elks Association

nanimous Mug Awards were
held Nov. 29 at the brewery.
A call went out at the start of
November for nominations
of craft beer lovers who were
also doing great things in the
FRPPXQLW\6L[¿QDOLVWVZHUH
ultimately chosen, and each

raise funds to assist children
in all of the Clatsop County
communities. Its largest phil-
anthropic program is Opera-
