What do you do in the Coast Guard and how did you end up in that
position?
“My fellow corpsmen and I assist a dentist, flight surgeon, hygienist,
and physician’s assistant to provide medical care and support for the
active duty personnel stationed from Grays Harbor to Tillamook and
over to Portland. My introduction to medical started when I was given
the opportunity to train as a dental assistant at the Air Station in Sitka,

after graduation from ‘A School,’ I arrived in Warrenton in 2013.

What do you like most about Astoria?
Two years ago when I first arrived, I was corrected that the only “river”
in the area was the Columbia, and now my day isn’t complete without
enjoying its vast beauty. Whether I am enjoying the view from my
apartment, strolling on Astoria or Warrenton’s river walks or running
with my dog at the beach at Fort Stevens.
