were lost when the 52-foot Invincible rolled over while towing the
fishing vessel Mermaid across the Columbia River bar on Jan. 12, 1961.
44-foot motor lifeboat: Self-righting and self-bailing; probably capable of surviving far more severe conditions than what
it was rated for (30 foot seas, 50 knots of wind, 50 nautical miles offshore, 20 foot breaking surf and a 125 towing capacity).
