MENLO, Wash. — 3DFL¿F
County, comprising the south-
west corner of Washington
State, is celebrating longtime
traditions of its rural commu-
nities at the 3aci¿c County
Fair, happening now through
Saturday, Aug. 29.
³7he 3aci¿c County Fair,
now in its 119th year, is a must
for anyone seeking a tradition-
al country fair experience,”
said Andi Day, executive di-
rector of the Long Beach Pen-
insula Visitors Bureau.
This year’s theme is Cluck
Cluck, Oink Oink, Moo. En-
tertainment highlights of the
fair include an Old Time Jam
Fiddle Festival each day and
performances by Scott Mc-
Dougall, Lulu LaFever, Tony
Wintrip, Jesse Lee Falls Band
and Country Mile.
A fair favorite, the 28th an-
nual Paci¿c County -+FFA
Market Livestock Auction will
take place at 6:30 p.m. Friday,
Aug. 28, as the Paci¿c County
-+ celebrates its 100-year an-
niversary.
This old-time country fair
also awards blue ribbons for
the best tasting jams, pies
and preserves, as well as
the best-looking and biggest
homegrown produce, and
much more.
Carnival rides, amuse-
ments and livestock exhibits
round out the mix.
