The Sisters of Providence were serving North Coast
residents long before the first Regatta Festival began.
Nearly 160 years ago, the Sisters of Providence arrived in the Oregon Territory. Under their leadership, more than 30
hospitals, schools and homes were opened for orphans, the elderly and the sick. We’ve been your coastal neighbors for
many years – from the former St. Mary’s hospital in Astoria to our current hospital in Seaside.
