Kiwanis Junior Parade
The Kiwanis Junior Parade is a nonmotor-
ized parade for children under the age of 14.
The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday,
Aug. 5. This parade kicks off the Regatta Fes-
tival, and has delighted children, friends and
family for generations.
Youth are encouraged to ride their bikes,
walk in costumes, decorate wagons or even cre-
ate a float for the parade. Parents and pets are
also welcome to join in on the fun.
Check-in begins at 6 p.m. in the back park-
ing lot behind the U.S. Bank on Exchange Street.

Parade information is available at check-in.
The parade heads east on Duane Street to
12th Street, turns south on 12th Street to
Exchange Street and goes west on Exchange
Street back to the starting point. Those who par-
ticipate in the parade receive free ice cream,
courtesy of Kiwanis Club.
The Regatta Court judges the parade, and
additional prizes are awarded by the Kiwanis
Club. Winners in the sweepstakes categories
have the chance to participate in the Grand
Land Parade at noon on Saturday.
