lege Rock Creek Chorus is
coming to Astoria to present

The concert will take
place at 7 p.m. Wednesday
May 27 at the CCC Perform-
ing Arts Center, located cor-
ner of 16th Street and Frank-
lin Avenue.

CATHLAMET, Wash. — The Tsu-
ga Gallery will be hosting an
auction fundraiser Saturday,
May 23 at the Elochoman Ma-
rina. The event will take place
next to the Drop Anchor Brew-
ery, which will be open during
the event.
The auction preview is at
noon, the silent auction will take
place from noon to 3 p.m., and
the live auction at will take place
at 2 p.m. Music will be provided
during the preview by Kathleen
Petersen on the keyboard.
Items for bid will include
funds for their summer tour

by the North Coast Chorale,
under the direction of De-
nise Reed, in singing “Dry
Your Tears, Afrika,” from
the movie “Amistad,” with

and manipulation aid Yurdana
in creating works such as a
plant-animal hybrids that he
calls Floragrafts. He mapping
the creatures’ anatomy, phys-
iology and evolution in his
artwork.
Yurdana earned his Mas-
ter of Fine Arts from the Uni-
versity of Washington and his
Bachelor of Fine Arts from
San Jose State University. He
has exhibited nationally and
internationally at venues such
as the Seattle Art Museum and
the Sunshine International Art
Museum in Beijing, China.
He lives in Honolulu, Ha-
waii, where he works as a gar-
