ASTORIA SUNDAY MARKETFOOD COURT AND OPERATION PROVIDERS
It takes a lot of work to get the Market and its Food Court ready. The crew generally starts at 6:30 am. We are
pleased to connue a great relaonship with Coast Rehabilitaon Services.
CRS is a 501 ( c ) 3 designated non-profit organizaon providing residenal, employment, and day support to
people with developmental disabilies. CRS has provided support to people with disabilies since 1974, offering
employment related support for 63 individuals
with disabilies in Clatsop County. The
employment support is designed to help
people gain work skills in order to become
gainfully employed in the community.
Currently, CRS provides training janitorial
services, paper shredding, and commercial
window cleaning and lawn maintenance.
Coast also supports individuals who are
already gainfully employed in the community
but require some minimal support in order to maintain their jobs. Recently, CRS has begun working with Seaside
High School on assessing job skills for individuals, transioning from high school to jobs in the community.
CRS employs over 300 staff between two counes to deliver the array of services. The staff bring a variety of
backgrounds and experience to CRS. All staff receive inial training prior to being allowed to work unassisted with
any individuals.
ASTORIA SUNDAY MARKET YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR’S CLUB
Members of the Young Entrepreneurs Club are selling their products at the Market Biz Kidz tent starng in mid-
June at the Astoria Sunday Market. The Market Biz Kidz create, invent or grow their products for sale at the
Market. We have a very creave team of Young Entrepreneur’s this year! Stop by and see what they’re selling.
CRS firmly believes that everyone has a choice in deciding where and with whom they live, work and play. CRS
encourages each of the people the organizaon supports to acvely parcipate in creang a life of their choosing
in the community of their choice.
The Young Entrepreneur’s Club is sponsored by Recology Western Oregon, Clatsop Community Bank and Wauna
Federal Credit Union.
Small Grants Program
Thanks to Recology Western Oregon and Wauna Federal Credit Union there is a small grants program for
Young Entrepreneur’s. Grants range in size from $25 to $100. Grant applicaons and guidelines are available
online. The deadline for submission is October 13, 2015.
