egon Regional Leadership
Development (WORLD)
Retreat. The youth attend-
ed classes in photography,
creative writing, team
building,
showmanship
and leadership.

from Clatsop County were
on the governing board
who helped plan and orga-
nize the multicounty event.
The community service
project was making blan-
kets for the needy. Each
county was given blankets
to bring back to their coun-
ty, and the Clatsop Coun-
ty youths’ blankets were
given to the homeless in
Seaside and the Warming
Center in Astoria.
4-H is an Oregon State
University program that
offers its programs to all
youth ages 5-19. For in-

Next week, Lewis and
Clark Elementary School,

and Clark Road in Astoria,
hosts its annual Scholastic
Book Fair. Monday through
Friday, the book fair will
be open to the public from
7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with
books for all ages available
for purchase. Proceeds from
the event benefit the school
library and the Parents Club.

posters, volunteers and media
to collect food and funds for the
“Stuff the Truck” food drive for
the Clatsop Community Action
Regional Food Bank to support
the ¿ght against hunger in Clat-
sop County.
