‘Journey Through Grief’ group begins Feb. 2
SEASIDE — Providence Seaside Hospital
is offering a six-week bereavement support
group, “Journey Through Grief,” for fami-
ly and friends of those who have had a loved
one die during the past 12 months. The group
meets from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Mondays, starting
Feb. 2 and through March 9, in the Providence
Seaside Hospital Administration Conference
Room (lower level), 725 S. Wahanna Road.
There is no charge for the sessions but pre-
registration is required. Call Mary Trudell at

Robert Clair Forness died peacefully Jan.
24, 2015, in Beaverton, Ore. Bob was born and
lived all but the last few years of his life in As-
toria. He was 95.
During World War II, Bob served two years
in Burma and later two more years in Korea re-
tiring as a staff sergeant. Bob worked 40 years
for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier in
Astoria. He was a life member of Sons of Nor-
