time of about five o-'clock, later on.
One effect of the change is that the
evening mail will be received and
, distributed at the postoffice, as was
the case formerly. The general de
livery window will not, however,
be opened. It will take the clerks
to nine or ten o'clock at night to
finish the mail, and as one of them
has to be on hand before six each
morning to make up mail for the
early train, it would be too strenu
ous a program to open the general
delivery window for belated mails.
