Tom Gregory and his brother, Cas. spent the Evening with Ernest and Hugh Jones. JENNINGS LODGE. The last monthly meeting of the Happy Hour Club was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Foster when they entertained its members at their home on the County Road Tuesday evening. The grand prize for the highest score of 500 was won by Mrs. A. Welsh and R. Giltner. The prize for the evening being award edd to"L. Seigler. Many fishing par .ties and out-door sports are being planned by the club during the sum mer msnths. - Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Downing and Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Mlrs. Roy B. Kelly and little daugh ter, o Portland visited at the home of Mrs. Will Jacobs on Friday. Mrs. Kelly was formerly Miss Arlinne Shaver. Mrs. DeLong is sick at her home. A trained nurse has . been called in and her friends are hoping for a speedy recovery. . Floyd Webb, who is principal of tie Logan school, was an over Sunday visitor at the Redmond home. Mr. and Mrs. Painton and family were guests of the Thias family at Ardenwald on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. L. Wilcox spent Sun day at Sellwood. The "farent-Teachers' Association held its regular monthly meeting at the school house on the afternoon of March 13th. The. president, Mrs. Harry Robinjon, presiding. A ques tion box was one of the main features followed by a general discussion of playgrounds. Arbor Day, the second Friday in Ap ril, will be observed by the parents qnd patrons in planting 'of trees and shrubs and otherwise beautifying the school grounds. The pupils of the school will furnish a program for the occasion and refreshments will be served. Mrs. Bess Bruechert and Mrs. A. F. Russell have been added to the play-ground committee. Arthur Soesbe came up from New port on Thursday and has accepted a position in a clothing store in, Ore gon City. Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Morse enter tained at their home on the evening of March 13th in honor of Mr. Morse's thirty-second birthday anniversary. Four tables of 500 were played. The Community Club will hold its monthly social dance on Friday even ing at Batdorf's hall. The East Side residents met On Tuesday evening to further perfect plans for the drainage of that part of the Lodge. They are in hopes to be able to have work begun on the ditches this spring. On Friday last, Henry Baker and Louisa Sheiwe went . to Oregon City, armed with a paper from the mother of the girl, who is but sixteen, to the effect that the mother gave he'r con sent, and obtained a license and on Sunday they were quietly married at the home of- the mother, Mlrs. P. A. Baker, who is an invalid. The pas tor of the Baptist church, of which the bride and mother are members, Rev. Lucas, officiating. The groom is the eldest son of P. A. Baker, a high ly respected young man, and the bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs, P; A. Baker and John Schiewe, her first' husband who died a number of years ago. The young bride is well liked by all who know her and in common with all their friends we predict, for ihem a happy future.'
