Friends reached them in time to prevent blows being exchanged. $350 AND THIRTY DAYS R. H. Albany high school's baseball nine hit and won yesterday after a five run lead had been attained over the locals by the Oregon City high school team. The score at the end of the "first half of the fifth read six to one against the locals. In the Albany half of this in ning two runs were acquired. Traylor set the visitors back the next two in nings without a hit or a run tallying once more in the eighth. Albany an nexed four runs in the sixth, putting herself in the lead. Three more in the seventh and three again in the eighth put the locals ahead with a safe margin. Score 13 to 7. Batter Is Feature. A feature of the game was the thick headedness of one of the Oregon City batters, whether intenional or not. The first inning he came to the plate, struck at the first one and then walk ed out of his box, self conscious-like. While he was out of his box and with his back turned getting the once over of the bleachers. Traylor zipped over a fast one and the ump called it a ball, this was all right, with friend Landerger. He came to bat again in the eighth, with one strike, as before, (failed on him. He strolled out of the box, evidently trying to regain his composure. Traylor profited by the first inning decision and threw a strike over. The ump called it a strike, Friend Landy got mad and refused to get into his box. Traylor immediately tossed another one across the plate, and the umpire called the irate batter out. It took some little persuasion on the part of the umpires and the Albany pitcher to get the Ore gon City man to lay down his bat I and be a good sport. The Oregon City lot are a good bunch of ball players at that, but their pitching staff is weak. The infield made but two errors dur ing the nine cantos, but made only five hits. Ninth Ends Quick. Handley and Ademack saved an other run in the ninth, when with men on third and second, the batter hit a fly ball, Handley receiving and throwing to Ademack on second. The next man was easy meat for Traylor and the game ended. Albany got a total of 16 hits. Ade mack got five hits out of six times at bat, one of these a double clout. Traylor got two doubles and a single, he let five hits, fanned out five men and issued four bases. Laydon got a two base bingle, and made one bad fumble, making an error. Uhrhanf- mer got two singles, Cox a single and a. double. Handley turned in one run and two errors, Gilbert got one run and one single base hit. Steincipher got two singles, one run and made an error. Mason had an off day, fanning twice and flying out once. He made one run and one error. No substitu tions were made. The Oregon City lineup: Parry, 2b, one run and one hit; Cullivan, ss; Landergar, If; Mayfield, f, one run; , Johnson lb, one run, two hits, one error; Burgham rf, one run' and one hit; Creswell, c, one run; Locke, p, one run, one hit, three bases on balls, forur fanned out; Wilson, 3b, one er ror and one run. , Wilkinson and Beamis, umpires.
