Growers Planning
Crops Uniformity
Standardization of potato varieties
in Clackamas county, with the view to
the ultimate establishment of a, co
operative marketing system is to be
undertaken by the growers, who at
Potato Day of Farmer's week, now in
session here, appointed ' a committee
to make full investigation of market
ing methods and possibilities, and
selected three varieties in which' the
local men will specialize.
The growers voted for the establish
ment of the "American Wonder,"
"Burbank" and "Garnet Chile" as
standards for this county. These are
the three varieties recognized by the
Washington Growers packing corpor
