W. Hagemann evidently forgot to charge up to road district 12 the account of E. C. Gerber, two sister in-laws that worked at the court house. . IL W. Hagemann mentions only the relatives and nothing of the numer ous others who worked on the road. He also fails to mention the amounts drawn by the five others who also worked tracks and drew amounts to equal or to exceed the amounts drawn by E. C. Gerber, Harry Babler (cous ins of E. C Gerber). Mrs. Fred Howard of Portland spent New Tears with her sister. Miss Rosa Mulvany. A masquerade dance wss held at the local dance hall on New Years eve. A fne time was reported by all. The Brookside Literary Society held its first meeting of the year on Saturday evening. A mock trial was the special feature of the evening. This was very much enjoyed by all.
