One wan the ab sence of sheep n the open market and the other waa the fairly heavy run of hnga which brought $17.60 a the top. There wa a total of 1615 sheep re ceived, but they were all under con tract to the Union Meat company, and did not do anybody else any good. The hog run -waa very fulr, nearly all of the day's receipts being disposed of. No cuttle wore sold during the forenoon and there were but 10 head to bo offered.
