W prcaent herewith a reviaed map of th highway route designated by th road bonding bilL Thii map cor rect many of th error mad in the hastily-prepared aketehe that were published oon after th legislature paaaed th bill. It alao ahow th citiea and town along th state high way. Whil thia ia not an official map, it baa been inspected informally by th member of the Stat Highway commission. Th Commissioner are precluded by their official position from expressing any opinion aa to exactly where the roads will go, until such time at they hold hearing in the different counties and take such formal action as the law requires in locating and designating th high way permanently. Th kind of road contemplated in the bonding act ia shown in small type. "Paved Roads" are those designat ed to be hard -surfaced after the coun ties prepare the road-beds. This simply includes grading. It does not involve the county in th expense of cement or crushed rock foundation as part of the paring. "Pot Roads" are highways con structed in co-operation with the fed eral government. Any designated highway over which mail is or may be carried is subject to classification as a post road. It ia proposed to grade th post roada and put a suitable sur face on same (not a pavement), the funds for this to come from the fed eral government and the state bond issue. "Forest Roads" are the same as "rost Roads," except that they must be built within or leading to national forest. The expense is shared by the government, the state and the coun ties. "Paved and Post Roads" are roads which ar to be paved by the state over such mileage a the counties may prepare ready for paving; the re mainder of the mileage of these roads would be improved as "Post Roads." The bonding act confer full jur isdiction upon the State Highway commission to make minor changes in location, and the commission has expressed its policy, which is to learn the facta in each locality before mak ing final locations, so each state road may be placed where it should be to serve the population of the counties traversed by it. Not until after these hearings have been held in all the counties will it finally be determined where all these state roads will be constructed, so there will be ample opportunity for correction of errors or changing of such local routings where same may be dne to better serve the county population.
