Cash Market, who spent a couple of
days this week at the livestock mar
ket In Xorth Portland. He succeed-'d
in picking up some choice animaU fur
the Oregon City retail trade, even
though he paid a fancy price for them.
Mr. I'etzold bought a carload of two-year-old
steers, which were selling for
nine cents a pound, several animaU
bringing $106, while gome three-year-olds,
which were sold the same day
brought $120.

Ort., April IS. Steadiness was again
the feature of the livestock market at
the Portland I'nion Stock Yards to
day. Receipts were very light and the
run was also Finall. At that, prices
paid for ".logs were practically to;, as
none were of the quality to command
the extra nickel paid yesterday. With
the market holding steady at 9 per
hundred, bhlppers cannot complain.
There was but one 'one shipper this
morning. C. I.. Palk Jr. sending 1:1
one car of hoes and sheep from Linn
county. In uddition a few head of cat
tle were driven in.
Recepits were 15 cattle, 63 hogs an 1
101 sheep.
