signed a Judgment In the suit of the
Willametto Valley Southern against M.
M. and Clnrlr.su Hall to condemn a
right of way. The court' awarded the
Halls $649.30 for thes strip, and the
judgment provides that tho money

Mrs. Sarah Frank, carrier of rural
route No. 3 out of Horitig, mado tho re
markablo record of missing only one
day during tho recent storms. The
roads were considered impassible for
nearly a "week, the snow drifting lu
places to the tops of the farm fences,
but Mrs. Frunk made her rounds when
soveral other corrlers failed. She had
the assistant of her husband during

ing at ber home In Woodburn at the
age of 67 year.

many years, and recently moved to the
Marion county town. She is lurvlved
by her husband, one daughter. Mr.
Grace Swope; a son. Arthur Holmes,

by many In Oregon City, dropped dead
at bla home, 9S5 Hawthorne avenue.
Portland, Saturday night of heart trou
ble. He moved to Portland six year
ago from California. For many years
he waa at Sacramento, Calif., where he
was connected with the Southern Pa
cific, and luter he moved to Chico,
and was superintendent of the electric
railroad running between Chico and
Sterling City. He was 58 years old.
He I survived by bla widow, who was
Miss Jeanette Cochran, daughter of the
late Mrs. Fanny Cochran, of Cils city,
and two sons, Kenneth, a senior at the
Cnlverstty of Oregon, and Donald, who
entered the university two weeks ago.

died early Saturday, on tba 107th an

good health until a few day before hla

Death came to tbe relief Saturday
morning of Mr. Anna Wllklna, after
an Illness from cancer, at the home of
ber daughter, Mr. A. F. Raascb. Elev
enth and Railroad avenue.
She was born In Lakcn. IIL, January
1, 1SC6. Chicago waa ber home for a
long time after ber marriage and
there ber husband died some years
ago. Later Mr. Wilkin removed to
Kalispel, Mont, where she resided
for Ave years, coming to Oregon City
eluht months ago to make ber home
with her daughter.
Resides the daughter. Mrs. Wilkin
1 survived by a sister, Mrs. Mary Da
lrymple of Lake, 111.
She waa a member of the Maccabees
of Chicago. Tbe time of the funeral
has not been decided upon, but will
likely take place Sunday from the
Catholic church, of which Mrs. Wllkins
was a devout member.
