C Derce Col lins Miller, a pioneer fanner of this community, died Monday at his home In Molalla from the effects of stroke of paralysis, sustained two years ago P. C. Miller was born In Rhea coun ty. Tennessee, October 6. 1S50. He lived there until 1S7C, when he was married to Eliza Cook, and in IS moved to Texas. In 1SS4 be came to Oregon and settled on a ranch about six miles from the present town of Molalla. He became known us a gen ial and public spirited citizen and sue eessful farmer. He retired from his farm in 1910 and moved to bis late residence In Molalla, He is survived by his wife and four children, as follows: Archie Miller, Mrs. Hattie Engle. Mabel Miller and Thomas Miller, all living in Molalla. He has also a sister-in-law, Mrs. Eliza Miler, and a niece, Elvira Miller, both at Marquam, Ore.; a nephew, John Ferguson, at Scotts Mills, and a niece Susan Davis, living In Washington The funeral was held this afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Methodist church here, and Interment was in Adams cemetery.
