The Blizzard Silo Filler Is the Thing
There is no question about the value of silage for feed and the Hlizzard Ensilage is a good invest

crop when it should be put away, regardless of weather condition. Many crops could have been saved

MILWAUKIE, Ore., Aug. 19. The
Milwaukie city council at a special
meeting last night passed an ordi-:
nance granting L. H. Campbell, a civil
engineer of Milawukle, a 25-year-fran- j
chlse for a street railway in Milwaukie.
before the ordinance is signed by May
or Elmer, Campbell must stipulate that .
he will not interfere with or obstruct I
the Portland & Oregon City railroad j
from building on Fourth street and
Shindler streets, which are included in
the routes of both railways.
Stephen Carver, whose application
for the Portland & Oregon City rail
road has been given its first reading,
will have to make a similar stipula
tion before his franchise is granted.
Carver's franchise contains a clause
providing that If the Carver road is
given the right to use the tracks con
structed under the Campbell franchise
on these two streets, each lino shall
have the right to construct only a i
single track on Fourth and Shindler
streets, the two tracks to be used In
common and the cars of each line us
ing the right hand track only. Car
ver's franchise further provides that if
Campbell fails to construct a track up
on either or both streets, the Carver
line may construct double tracks on
both streets.
The franchise, which was amended
by the public utility committee of the
council, contains a "common user"
clause covering the entire line.
For each trip in one general direc
tion within Milwaukie limits 5 . cents
