She was born at Kent, England, In
1S20, and Is survived by a son and
three daughters, Thomas 0. Clark,
and Mrs. Jennie, Mack, of Mount
Pleasant, and Mr3. Lizzie Porter and
Mrs. Khoda Decker, of Indianola,
Iowa. Mrs. Clark came here from
South Carolina In 1833 and has re-
sidt-d at .Mount Pleasant ever since.
The funeral -took place at 2 o'clock
Thursday afternoon from the family
residence.
Mrs. Phillips Dies.
After a short illness, Mrs. Rosina
Phillips, wife of C. M. Phillips, passed
away Monday morning at her home In
Clackamas Heights. Deceased was
for many years a resident of Oregon,
and was 4i years of age. The funeral
service was held Wednesday at
Clackamas Heights.

At Her Home in Portland.
The funeral services over the re
mains of Mrs. Mary Johnson, who
died at her home, 403 Durham street,
In Portland on Saturday, was held
Wednesday morning from the First
Congregational Church, Rev. L. Dyott
officiating, and the remains were then
taken to the crematory, where a brief
service was held. Mrs. Johnson was
formerly a resident of this city many
years ago, and was one of the promi
nent instructors of the county, for
many years having taught in the Ore
gon City public school. She moved
with her family to Portland from this
city, where she has since resided. She
Is survived by the following children:
Thurston Johnson, foreman of the
Oregonlan; Mrs. Clara Knight, of
Portland: Miles and Harry B. John
son1, of Iewlston, Idaho, Miles being
assistant United States District At
torney for Idaho. Several of the old
time friends of Mrs! Johnson at
tended the fuenral services.

Mrs. Minnie Williams, wile of Fred
Williams, formerly of this city, but
now of Gray's Crossing on the Esta
cadii car line, dlod.nt the 'family home
Tuesday. Mrs. Williams is well
known lu this city, where she re
sided for some time. She was about
35 years of age, and was the daughter
of Sir. and Mrs. Asa Boylnn. Several
years ago Mr. and Mrs. Williams lef
for Portland, and afierwitrds .went to
Gray '8 Crossing. Mrs. Williams has
been ill with typhoid fever for some
time, which was the cause of her
death.
Deceased leaves, besides her 14-year-old
daughter, Ida, and husband,
her parttits, four brothers. Lou, Otis,
Olio. Orle, of Portland, and two sis
ters, Ilcrtha and Vadu.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the
Knights and Ladies of Security of
this city, mid tho order will atiend
tho funeral services ru a body. .

Following Injuries Last Spring, She
Died In Portland.
The funeral services over the re
mains of Mrs. Viola Crawford, who
died at the home of her son in Port
land, were held in this city Friday
afternoon at 1 o'clock at Holmau &
Myers' undertaking parlors, and the
interment was in the family plot in
Mountain View cemetery, where her
husband ami sun ore buried. Mrs.
Crawford was 57 years of age, and is I
