How lett, last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Douglass and Miss Bina Douglass were Oregon City and Portland visitors last week. Mrs. R. B. Gibson was in Portland last week, the guest of Miss Muriel Crouch. Mr. and Mrs. John Reid and chil dren, Mr. and Mrs. Udell and chil dren, spent Sunday with James Gib son Eagle 'Creek played with Pleasant Home Sunday and were defeated by the score of 3 to 1. Remember, next Sunday the "Niggers" will play with them. Harvey Gibson was up this way cruising some timber for Walter Douglass. The Flrwood and Dover Mutual Telephone Companies held a special meeting at Flrwood Hall on Monday evening, at which it was decided to unite the two companies and incor porate, calling it the Firwood-Dover Telephone Company The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: A. J. Morrison, of Dover, president; J. G. DeStiazer, vice-president; E. D. Hart, secretary, and A. Malar, treasurer. A number of Flrwood people attend ed the Rose Festival at Portland last week, and all report heaving a fine time. The Flrwood Progressive Associa tion will meet Saturday evening, June 18. They 'have spent several months in California and may Bpend the Summer here. The annual school meeting of Dis trict No. 52 will meet Monday, June 20th.. The Mt. Hood Fruit Growers' Asso ciation will meet at Flrwood Hall Saturday, June 25, at 2 P. M. A large attendance is expected, as there will be several prominent speakers. Dean A. B. Cordley, of the O. A. C, is expected to be present; also In spector Lewis, of Clackamas County, Prof. Williamson and Secretary Pow ers, of the N. W. Fruit Growers' As sociation.
