N'lssen against Peter Julius Hansen for $5000 damages for slander was called for trial in the Circuit Court yesterday. Hansen is p. farmer living in the South end of the county. He is charged by NTs sen with having, circulated the re port that Nissen had an illigitimate child in the East and that the child had died. Walter G. Hayes, of Port land, appears for Nissen, and Dimick & Dimick represent Hansen. Immediately after the case was called the plaintiff's attorney filed a motion for a non-suit, which was granted.
