TO THE-PUBLIC
We wish to explain that owing to the continued sickness and failure
in health of Mr. J. J. Levitt, proprietor and head of the firm, and the
lack of his" presence and management ( late, tha store has SHffered a
great loss for the managemet of Mr. Levitt, and owing to the un
certaiaty of his return we find ourselves forced to raise $6,000. Hence
we take this way of appealing to the general public for sixteen days,
as the entire stock, positively every article in the house, will be on
sale at Bargains like you have never had the opportunity of taking ad
vantage of in Oregon City before. Mr. Levitt advises us to sell pre
cisely any and every article in the' house and to take a loss rather
than carry over any Winter stock.
